Much of the setup of your Custodial system is made using Templates as noted in the Custodial Template topic. New buildings need Templates, and the Bulk Copy function allows you to copy a batch of existing Custodial Templates and later tailor them for new clients or Repair Centers.

With this interface, you can download an Excel Template, complete the two columns with Source (existing) Code and New Code. Upload the saved spreadsheet, and the system shows you a list of all your entries that tells you if the entry is valid.

Download Template

Click the Download Template link on the Custodial Template Bulk Copy window. Look to the upper right for the link in a popup window, and click the link to open the spreadsheet. It is also available in the Downloads folder of your computer.

The following illustration shows the two columns in the spreadsheet with a few entries. You can include as many templates as you want to copy.

Upload Template

When you have completed and saved the spreadsheet, return to the Custodial Template Bulk Copy window.

Click the Upload Btn_UploadCustodialCopyTemplate.png button at the upper left of the window, and select the spreadsheet you saved.

The window displays a line-item list of the Source and New Template Codes and indicates if they are valid. This gives you the opportunity to amend the spreadsheet in case of errors. Note the X Btn_X_CustodialCopy.png at the right of the spreadsheet name. If you have uploaded the incorrect spreadsheet, click the button to clear the window.

If all entries are valid, click the Bulk Copy Btn_BulkCopy.png button at the lower right of the window.

Your new templates are now available, and the window is clear.

Go to Custodial > Custodial Template and review the list of Records to see your copied Templates. The Templates are now available for you to make any needed changes and use.
