The links on the Scheduler window Action Menu are available in both Grid View and Calendar View. The only difference is that the Calendar item selection method is to choose a color block, which is then surrounded by a black line, whereas the Grid View includes a check box at the beginning of the line, which is marked to select the line.
Action Menu Options
- Select Open Scheduler to open the Schedule Entry flyout where you can assign Technicians to unassigned Work Orders. See How to Schedule Work for details.
- Select Show Backlog to see the current backlog of assigned Work Orders for a Shift and Trade and to reschedule selected lines to the same Technician. See How to Show Backlog and Reschedule below for instructions.
- Select Remove Technician to remove an entry from view. Select a row or calendar entry and choose this link. The line is immediately removed from view. The line is immediately removed from view. This action removes the current Technician; however, it does not put the Technician into the Scheduler again.
- Select Replace Technician to reassign the Work Order to another Technician. This opens the Replace Technician flyout where you can choose a different Technician. Be sure to select Save on the WebTMA toolbar to retain the change. NOTE: This action removes the previous Technician and replaces with the new Technician; however, it does not put the Work Order in the Scheduler again.
- Select Unassign Work Order to remove scheduled Technicians. This action unassigns all scheduled Technicians and allows them to be shown in the Scheduler once more. Be sure to choose Save on the toolbar before you leave the window. Note: All scheduled Technicians are removed from the Work Order.
- Select Complete Schedule when you mark selected lines as completed. Choose Save on the toolbar to retain this adjustment to the record.
- Select Shift Schedule when unscheduled events occur which impact work order scheduling (illness, vacation, holidays, etc.), you can easily change technicians' scheduled assignments by a specified number of days or a specific date. See How to Shift Schedules below for details.
How to Show Backlog and Reschedule
- Complete Trade and Shift fields in the Quick Filter Section.
- Choose the Show Backlog link.
- Mark the check boxes for desired lines to be rescheduled.
- Select the Reschedule button
- Choose Save on the WebTMA toolbar.
How to Shift Schedules
In the grid:
- Check the desired technician lines.
- Select Shift Schedule on the Action Menu.
- Choose the Days or Dates to be moved forward or backward.
Shift By Days. Enter the number of days to move the work. A negative value shifts work to an earlier date.
Shift To Date. Select a date and time before or after the current date. - Click the Save button on the flyout.
- Choose Save on the WebTMA toolbar.
