Three buttons on the Revit Exchange Data dialog are used to populate the grid, export, or import data.
Load Button
Click the Load button to populate the grid with data from the Revit model based on the categories included in the selected template.
Once the data is loaded in the grid, the check boxes in the left column can be checked or unchecked to determine which Revit elements are included in the import or export process.
By default, all lines are selected, and all items are included if the Import or Export button is clicked without first clicking the Load button.
Export Button
Click the Export button to upload data from Revit to WebTMA.
Records with matching ID values are updated in WebTMA, and other records are created in WebTMA if the required fields are populated or default values are set.
When a WebTMA record is created or updated by this process, the Revit Unique ID value is linked to that record. The import and export process then uses the Revit Unique ID to determine the associated record, allowing for changes to the original identifier value (tag number, room number, etc.) on either side of the interface.
Import Button
Click the Import button to download data from WebTMA to populate parameter values of the selected elements in Revit.
NOTE: If more accurate data is contained in WebTMA, use the Import button before exporting to prevent data loss.
