Facility Scheduler Overview

The optional Facility Scheduler module is used to create reservations and rentals on the following types of items:

  • Area
  • Asset
  • Building
  • Device (Biomed)
  • Entity
  • Equipment
  • Floor
  • Tools
  • Vehicles (with Fleet Management license)

WebTMA accommodates reservations and rentals for several items on one record.

If you wish to maintain a fleet of Vehicles for rental, your organization can purchase the separate Fleet Management module. Vehicles are then included on the Resources selection list. The two options are independent. Your organization can purchase one or both modules. The items in the selection list show which module or modules were purchased.

Facility Scheduler Details

You can create reservations by Type or for specific items.

WebTMA allows you to conform to your organization's practices by redefining the nomenclature for reservations and rentals with the terms you use.

To make the Facility Scheduler module usable, the WebTMA System Administrator determines and creates settings on several windows such as:

  • Admin > Client Info > Preferences to determine if Requests are allowed without login
  • Admin > Client Info > Rental Preferences to set default requirements
  • Admin > Client Info > Counters to set the auto-numbers for Reservations and Rentals
  • Organization > Lookups to create Types such as Expenses and Holidays related to Reservations
  • Organization > Lookups to mark the Item Type Rates Tab as Rentable
