NOTE: The permissions applicable to users of the WebTMA mobile app are assigned from Admin > User Management > Records / Window Access Tab. An exception is in the case of a 1:1 match for settings in the Preferences Tab / Preferences or Privileges sections compared to the Mobile Access-Mobile Preferences section. These settings apply to the WebTMA mobile app user as well. Otherwise, only users of the GO products have settings made on the Mobile Access Tab.

Push Notifications Now Available
When work is assigned to a Technician, they can opt to receive a notice of new Tasks on their mobile device.
The first time Technicians log in to the newly-installed release, they receive a popup notice requesting permission to send Notifications (called Push Notifications by WebTMA).
Notification permission is registered when they:
- Tap Allow
- Log in to the application,
Once registered, alerts such as sounds and banners indicate when new work has been assigned.
The notifications occur as long as the Technician remains logged in to the WebTMA mobile application; however, Technicians can be looking at other applications or the device can be powered on but not active to continue to receive Notifications. When you log out of the application, Notifications are suspended until you log in again.
Following are some examples of banners on the Home screen and within the application. Typically, these appear at the top of the screen.

NOTE: When Technicians assign work to themselves, no Notification is sent.
How to Use Notifications
If a single Task assignment shows up in a banner, you can tap it and open the Task record immediately.
If multi-Tasks are indicated, tap the banner to view the Open Tasks filter in the Work Order Task screen.
Notification Frequency
To avoid flooding the Technician with Notifications, such as with batch processes, the Notifications are not scheduled to go out immediately. They are sent out on a regular basis with a delay of about ten minutes.
Shared Devices
When several users share the same device, the Notifications apply to the logged-in user. Since most users in this situation log out and log in when the device changes hands, this assures that the Notifications are for the current user.
Start or Stop Notifications
If Technicians tap Don't Allow when presented with the option, they can allow Notifications by going to their device's OS settings to enable Notifications for WebTMA mobile.
