WebTMA Mobile Release Notes WebTMA 7

NOTE: The permissions applicable to users of the WebTMA mobile app are assigned from Admin > User Management > Records / Window Access Tab.  An exception is in the case of a 1:1 match for settings in the Preferences Tab / Preferences or Privileges sections compared to the Mobile Access-Mobile Preferences section.  These settings apply to the WebTMA mobile app user as well. Otherwise, only users of the GO products have settings made on the Mobile Access Tab.

Version Number 1.0.90

Additional Work Order System Form Attributes Respected

While WebTMA mobile does not respect all the settings established in Admin > Form Attributes > System Form Attributes, the following additional settings for Work Orders are now accepted by WebTMA mobile:

  • Corrective Work Order
  • Create Work Order
  • Create Work Request
  • Work Order Details (such as Post Cost)

These System Form Attributes columns are respected:

  • Required
  • Enabled
  • Visible
  • Default Value (in most cases)

WebTMA mobile respects a Custom Form if there is only one custom form. If you have more than one Custom Form, WebTMA mobile uses the System Form.

Work Order Editing Now Available

Look for pencil Mobile_BtnEditFields.png icons next to fields that indicate a field can be edited.  Not all fields can be fully edited, for example Technicians cannot remove themselves from an assignment; however, they can add others.

In addition, editing selections are limited to Trades the logged-in user has access to.

Tap the Edit Mobile_BtnEditFields.png icon next to the field to open a drop-down field where you can make your changes. The character of the drop-down field changes depending on the field being edited. In some cases, like the example below, you can tap the check mark at the right to save your changes.

Canadian users now have the option to change the TLD (Top Level Domain) from .webtma.com to .webtma.ca.

While the default remains .webtma.com, you can tap in the field and select from the popup.

SSO Logins Now Populate with Name

The previous login used Login ID. This change allows for easy identification with the full name.

Items Filtered by Location Preference

When your administrator has granted Filter Item by Location in Admin > Client Info / Preferences-Work Order, the drop-down list of items is filtered to reduce the list to only those items related to that location.

That filter is now respected when you create a Work Order from WebTMA mobile.

WO Tasks Button Enhancement

When you filter your list on the Work Order Tasks screen, tap a Task record, and later tap the WO Tasks Mobile_WO_TasksIcon.png icon on the bottom navigation bar, the Work Order Tasks screen returns to your filtered list.

Previously, the list reverted to the default sort order.

Work Order Task / Identity Tab-Edit Status Popup

The Task / Identity Tab now includes functionality that allows the Technician to add text to the Status.

When the Technician taps the Mobile_btn_StatusIcon.png icon next to the STATUS label, the EDIT STATUS popup opens. The Technician can add additional information to the Status Note free-form text field and Save. The field can be re-edited if needed.

Typically, the Status and Status Note are updated at the same time.

In the main application, the information is logged in to the Status Tracking flyout that opens when you click the Tracking link in the Action Menu. This also updates the Audit History flyout that opens when you click the Show Audit History link in the Action Menu.

When the Show Pass All on Inspections Preference is Granted, the Pass All check box is shown.

Technician Role Now Has 'Add' for Request Log Window Access

This enhancement in the Web application was made to allow Technicians who use WebTMA mobile to use the Request function.

Add permission has been included in the Technician Role selections for Request Log on the User / Window Access Tab.

Those with a Technician role that have the Add permission will see the pop up menu with the Create Request option in WebTMA mobile. When Technicians with the Read option tap the Mobile_Btn_Plus.png button, the only see the Create Work Order option.

New Assignment Notifications Available

When work is assigned to a Technician, they can opt to receive a notice of new Tasks on their mobile device.

Mobile_AcceptNotifications.png

The first time Technicians log in to the newly-installed release, they receive a popup notice requesting permission to send Notifications (called Push Notifications by WebTMA).

Notification permission is registered when they:

  1. Tap Allow
  2. Log in to the application,

Once registered, alerts such as sounds and banners indicate when new work has been assigned.

The notifications occur as long as the Technician remains logged in to the WebTMA mobile application; however, Technicians can be looking at other applications or the device can be powered on but not active to continue to receive Notifications. When you log out of the application, Notifications are suspended until you log in again.

Following are some examples of banners on the Home screen and within the application. Typically, these appear at the top of the screen.

NOTE: When Technicians assign work to themselves, no Notification is sent.

How to Use Notifications

If a single Task assignment shows up in a banner, you can tap it and open the Task record immediately.

If multi-Tasks are indicated, tap the banner to view the Open Tasks filter in the Work Order Task screen.

Notification Frequency

To avoid flooding the Technician with Notifications, such as with batch processes, the Notifications are not scheduled to go out immediately. They are sent out on a regular basis with a delay of about ten minutes.

Shared Devices

When several users share the same device, the Notifications apply to the logged-in user. Since most users in this situation log out and log in when the device changes hands, this assures that the Notifications are for the current user.

Start or Stop Notifications

If Technicians tap Don't Allow when presented with the option, they can allow Notifications by going to their device's OS settings to enable Notifications for WebTMA mobile.
