1. What is OTTO?
OTTO is an AI assistant built into WebTMA that helps you quickly understand work order history, trends, and context—so you can diagnose and complete work faster.
2. Where can I access OTTO?
OTTO is available:
- On the WebTMA Landing Page
- Within Active Tasks / Work Orders
- In the Browse Queries (Reports) area
- On WebTMA Mobile
3. What kind of questions can I ask OTTO?
You can ask questions related to work orders and maintenance history, such as:
- What work has been done on this asset?
- When was the last PM completed?
- What parts are commonly used?
- Have there been similar issues recently?
OTTO works best when questions are specific and tied to work order data.
4. What data does OTTO use?
OTTO pulls from existing WebTMA data, including:
- Work orders and history
- Technician comments
- Task and failure codes
- Parts and labor
- Attached documents (like manuals)
5. How do I enable or disable OTTO for users?
OTTO is turned off by default in WebTMA. Administrators can control access by enabling or disabling OTTO at the User or User Group level through the Preferences tab under User Management. This gives organizations flexibility to roll out OTTO to specific teams, roles, or users based on their operational needs.
6. Is my organization’s data used to train TMA’s AI models?
No. Customer data is not used to train TMA’s AI models or any public AI models. Your organization’s data remains private and secure, and OTTO operates within TMA’s governed AI framework designed to protect customer information and maintain data ownership.
7. Can OTTO search manuals or documents?
Yes. OTTO can look through attached documents to help answer questions like error codes or troubleshooting steps.
8. Why am I not getting a good answer?
Usually it’s because the question is too broad or not tied to work order data. Try adding more detail, like a location, trade, or time range (e.g., “past 30 days”).
9. Does OTTO replace technician judgment?
No. OTTO provides helpful context and insights, but you’re still in control of decisions and actions.
