Use the Grounds Tasks window to describe standard Tasks that are performed for grounds work. These Grounds Tasks are not the same as regular Tasks defined elsewhere in WebTMA. Values added to this window are used to calculate the amount of time needed to perform the Task. The Base Minutes and related fields in the Tasks Section are APPA data.
The calculation uses this formula:
"It takes {Base Time} minutes to {Description} {Base QTY (Per)} {Unit of Measure} of {Grounds Item}"
An actual Grounds Task record could read as:
"It takes 45 minutes to remove 1 inch deep snow from 40' sidewalk."
You can use the APPA defaults to get started quickly with the WebTMA Grounds module. As you make inspections, you can take inventory of the actual features to fine-tune your Grounds records and adjust the values accordingly.
Grounds Task Fields
Most of the fields on this window are self-evident, such as the Active check box that is common to all WebTMA records. The following definitions may enhance your understanding of Grounds Tasks.
Associated Task A field that allows you to link ISSA and APPA Tasks. Other fields in this Section are read-only and auto-populate when an Associated Task is selected.
Base Minutes Optional field that serves as a default value when a Grounds Task is added to a Grounds Template.
Grounds Item The item or area to be cleaned.
Level 1-5 Freq The number of times and the rate of recurrence (Weekly, Annually) to perform the Task.
PM Task A related preventive maintenance Task from the WebTMA Task records.
Unit of Measure Read-only field populated via the selected Grounds Item.
