TMA Connect 26 - How Villanova Dunked on Critical Alarm Response with Virtual Facility

Presenters: Nick Ensig, Villanova University & Andy Powell, Virtual Facility

Description: “Don’t we get alarms for this?” It seems so easy—the alarm goes off and then you respond
to fix the problem. So why are occupant complaints often what initiates response to a
problem?

In this session, Nick and Andy reveal how Villanova "dunked" on poor response by
implementing Virtual Facility. Nick will highlight the types of problems that were being
overlooked at Villanova and the organizational challenges that allowed it to happen. We’ll
explore three must have KPIs that Villanova uses to validate that response is initiated and
the problem is resolved successfully. Finally, Nick will reveal how he got buy-in to invest in
critical alarm response and the impact it is making on the organization.
