Path: Admin > Client Info / Counters Tab
The Counters Tab allows you to use an automatic counter to number new records and/or to determine the starting number of records.
Counters Details
Some lines displayed on the Tab include a check box in the In Use column. The check box indicates that automatically numbering these lines is optional. Lines that do not include a check box are automatically numbered by WebTMA in sequence; however, you have the option to set the starting number.
If you do not mark the In Use check boxes, your user's must enter a unique identifying number each time they create and save a new record. When you check the Purchase Order and Purchase Requisition check boxes, you can also establish a Prefix as well as the starting number (Current Value) for the counter.
Although Estimates does not have an In Use check box, it does include a Prefix field, you can include the starting number as well.
The records without a check box are numbered sequentially by WebTMA. The window labels on these number fields change depending on the record. For example, the number on the Fuel & Oil window is labeled Ticket #, and the number on the Estimate window is labeled Estimate #.
The last On-Hand Adjustment number is shown in the Current Value column.
NOTE: The Prefix is limited to ten (10) characters. The Current Value field is also limited to ten (10) characters.
