Path: Transactions > Work Order > Records / Schedule Tab

Use the Schedule Section on this window to assign work to Technicians or Crews. You can also convert line items to a labor line that displays on the Cost Tab. The Allocated Part, Requested Part, Allocated Tool, and Required Resources/Parts Sections on this window relate to those items that have been designated for the Work Order. If your organization uses the optional Training module, the Request Training Section is used to request a Training Class related to the current job or to other subjects.

Schedule Tab Details

The Requested Part Section includes a Request Part link on the grid so anyone with access to the Work Order record can request needed Parts or other charge items.

Select the link to request the additional Parts that are needed. This request does not assure that the Part is available in the Warehouse. On the Part Request Entry flyout, the Do not add PO/PR Distribution check box applies to the Requested Part Browse window. If you select either of the Convert buttons for a Part on the Requested Part Browse window, a distribution line is added to the PO or PR; however, if this check box is marked on the Work Order / Schedule Tab–Part Request Entry flyout, a distribution line will not be added to the PO or PR.

When a Work Order is closed, any Requested Parts that are still pending are updated to zero and will no longer show up in the Requested Part Browse window.

How to Add a Schedule

To assign work to a Technician or Crew from the Work Order window:

  1. Select the Schedule Tab.
  2. Choose Edit on the WebTMA toolbar.
  3. Use the Add Schedule link at the top of the grid to open the Schedule Entry flyout.
  4. Complete the Schedule Entry flyout.
  5. (Optional) Choose Save & Add to include more schedules.
  6. Select Save when you are finished.
  7. Choose Save on the WebTMA toolbar.

How to Edit a Schedule

To change a Technician assignment or other information from the Work Order window:

  1. Select the Schedule Tab.
  2. Choose Edit on the WebTMA toolbar.
  3. Use the pencil icon to open the Schedule Entry flyout.
  4. Make desired changes to fields on the Schedule Entry flyout.
  5. Select Save on the flyout window.
  6. Choose Save on the WebTMA toolbar.

Note: Once a scheduled line is converted, it cannot be edited or deleted.
