Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) list the proper and safe actions required when operating Equipment or Biomed Equipment.
These procedures are established by users with the appropriate user access. The SOP prints on Work Orders when the selected item is Equipment or Biomed Equipment with an SOP.
How to Create SOPs
Path: Organization > Task > SOP
To create Standard Operating Procedures for Equipment or Biomed Equipment:
- Select Add on the WebTMA toolbar.
- Assign a Code to the SOP.
- Enter Name to identify the SOP.
- Specify the Type (and Subtype if needed).
- (Optional) Enter the Source of this SOP, such as Procedures Manual.
- Input the Standard Operating Procedure instructions in the free-form text field.
- Choose Save on the WebTMA toolbar.
How to Add SOPs to Item Records
Path: Organization > Equipment > Records–Additional Information Section.
Path: Organization > Biomed > Records–Details Section
You can specify an SOP from an item record in Add or Edit mode.
- Locate the desired item record.
- Select Add or Edit on the WebTMA toolbar.
- Look to the Additional Information Section for Equipment or the Details Section for Biomed.
- Select the SOP using the quick list or the selection window.
- Choose Save on the WebTMA toolbar if the record is complete.
