Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) list the proper and safe actions required when using a piece of equipment.

SOP procedures are established using Organization > Task > SOP by users with the appropriate user access.

How to Create SOPs

Path: Organization > Task > SOP

To specify standard operating procedures for equipment:

  1. Click Add on the WebTMA toolbar.
  2. Assign a Code to the SOP.
  3. Type Name to identify the SOP.
  4. Specify the Type (and Subtype if needed).
  5. (Optional) Type the Source of this SOP.
  6. Type the Standard Operating Procedure instructions in the free-form text field.
  7. Click the Repair Center Tab and select the applicable repair centers.
  8. Click Save on the WebTMA toolbar.

How to Add SOPs to the Equipment Record

Path: Organization > Equipment > Records / Identity Tab

To specify a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for equipment:

  1. Locate the desired equipment item.
  2. Click Edit on the WebTMA toolbar.
  3. Click the down arrow in the SOP field
  4. Select the applicable procedure.
  5. Click Save on the WebTMA toolbar.
