Use the Biomed Mass Update window to update any one of multiple fields in selected records. The window offers a set of selection criteria to accomplish your goals.
How to Use Biomed Mass Update
You can be as specific or general as needed in your search for records to update. When you open the window, you see an empty grid with a New Browse Selection link.
- Click the New Browse Selection link to open the Query flyout.
- Make the selections that filter your list to the desired records.
- Click the List Results button.
- Check the boxes for all lines you want to change
- Click the Mass Update button to open the Biomed Mass Update flyout.
- Mark any desired Include check boxes and add to New Value fields or check boxes. Be sure to scroll down to see all options. IMPORTANT: You must mark both fields (Include and the New Value field to the right) to effect a change.
- Click the Update button on the flyout.
View Mass Update Changes
WebTMA captures your changes and stores them with each record that has been changed. Once you have made changes from the Biomed Mass Update window, you can go to the individual equipment record at Organization > Biomed > Records to review the changes.
To verify a change, click a Control ID number on the Biomed Mass Update window. This opens the item record. On the Action Menu, click the Mass Update History link to see a list of batches. Expand the tier to see the changes made to that batch.
The Biomed Mass Update History window shows both the Old Value and the New Value, the Batch Date, and other relevant information. Reverse User and Reverse Date columns are populated if any of the lines listed have been reversed using Biomed Mass Reversal.
Click the line arrow to expand the tier and review all items that were mass updated in the same batch and the fields that were mass updated.
