The Lease Management modules and several other modules in WebTMA exchange information. Before you create Lease Management records, be sure to do the following:
- Install the Batch Job Service for this module in order to use Batch Management to generate invoices for receivable leases. Be sure to include a Department name on the Lease record. This is critical for Accounts Receivable because that is the only selection for generating invoices in Batch Management.
- Add Lookup records for Lease Modification (applied to the Lease Management Amendments Subtab) Lease Option Type (applied to the Lease Management Options Tab), and Lease Type (applied to the Lease Management Identity Tab)
- Record addresses for Tenants, Landlords (Contractor), and Brokers using the Vendor
- Mark the Building and Area records check box labeled In Leasable Portfolio for any records that apply to your lease. Without this check box marked, the building or area is not available for selection on the Lease Management
- Create Task records if you want to assign responsibilities to the landlord and tenant.
- Use Approval Routing to create Authorization Routes and Routine Criteria if you want to set up procedures to approve Leases.
Once these are set up and you have created either Payable or Receivable Lease Management records, you can:
- create work orders for outstanding items on the Punch List from the Lease Management window
- generate Invoices using the Batch Management function for Lease Invoice Generation
- maintain Invoice records for both receivable and payable invoices from Accounts Receivable Invoice and Accounts Payable Invoice
