Path: Organization > Floor / Identity
The Floor window is used to describe separate floors within a building. If your organization tracks information by floor, use this optional hierarchy level.
Most fields on the Floor / Identity window are required. You can also complete the Subtype and Description fields if needed. When the floor needs special reminders for work orders or requests, the Popup Message field is available to add a message applicable to it. If the floor is entered on a Work Order or Request, a popup window opens with the short (255 character) message. If the affiliated facility, building, and area have a message, they also display; therefore, you could see the text for as many as four Popup Messages.
Other Floor windows, buttons, and check box options are found throughout WebTMA. These are described in the separate Help > Help Page > Common Functions document. The read-only Part Reference Tab is the same as the Xref Tab found in other modules and reflects any parts associated with the floor.
How to Add Floor Records
Path: Organization > Floor / Identity Tab
- Open the window.
- Click Add on the WebTMA toolbar.
- Type the Floor Code.
- Type or select the Type Name.
- Type or select the Building Name. This is the building where the floor is located.
- (Optional) Type a Description or relevant floor information.
- Click Save on the WebTMA toolbar.
