The following messages can appear in the Error column of the grid on the Revit Exchange Data dialog following the Export or Import process.
The term Tag Number below refers to the unique code for the record in WebTMA, which includes the Area number and Floor code in addition to the Equipment Tag Number.
Export Troubleshooting
Message | Explanation |
Item not accessible | A record with the corresponding Tag Number or Revit UID value was found but could not be retrieved due to user data access restrictions. |
Tag Number already linked to other Revit UID | A record with the corresponding Tag Number was found but is associated with a different Revit UID value. |
Maximum length exceeded for Tag Number | The Tag Number exceeded the maximum text length allowed in WebTMA. Equipment Tag Numbers are limited to 30 characters and Area room numbers are limited to 20 characters. |
Invalid Type Code/Description | The parameter value mapped to the Type Code or Type Description field does not correspond to an existing lookup record in WebTMA. This error will also occur if a Subtype Code or Subtype Description value is included and the combination of the Type and Subtype is invalid. |
Type Code/Description value is required for new records | A new record is being added without a field mapping for the Type Code or Type Description in the template. To resolve this issue, the type parameter can be mapped in the template and populated in the Revit model, or a default type value can be selected for the corresponding category mapping in the template. |
Invalid or inaccessible value for: <Parameter Name> | A parameter value mapped to a selection field (such as Vendor Name or Manufacturer Name) does not correspond to an existing record in WebTMA. This error will also occur if the corresponding record could not be retrieved due to user access restrictions. |
Invalid Location ID | A text parameter mapped to the Location ID field does not match a valid Area record in the selected building in WebTMA. Because the Location ID includes the building code, please ensure that the building corresponding to the code is selected if this value is set to export from Revit to WebTMA. |
Invalid Room Number | A text parameter mapped to the Room Number field does not match a valid Area in the selected building in WebTMA. |
Invalid Floor Code | A text parameter mapped to the Floor Code field does not match a valid Floor in the selected building in WebTMA. |
Invalid Floor Number | A text parameter mapped to the Floor Number field does not match a valid Floor in the selected building in WebTMA. The floor number value is appended to the Building Code and then matched against the WebTMA Floor Code field. |
Invalid Department Name | The Department name value provided for the Area record does not correspond to an existing record in WebTMA. |
Exception: <Error Message> | An error occurred at the business object or database level. The most typical issues are caused by mismatched data types or text length limitations. |
