Email Groups

Path: Organization > Lookups > Email Groups

The Email Groups Lookup Type is used to create a list of email addresses. The Email Group Code can be added to the To: field preceded by a pound sign (#) to send an email message to all members of the group.

The Email Group can be mixed with individual email addresses as long as they are separated by a semi-colon, the same as adding email addresses to any message.

Example of mixed addresses using the Code (Managers in this case) inserted in the To: field: john.carter@abc.com; #Managers; sam.snopes@abc.com

In the example shown above, messages would be sent to both the individual addresses as well as all addresses listed in the Managers Email Group.

How to Add Email Groups

In Add or Edit mode:

  1. Enter a Code and Description for the Email Groups Type.
  2. Select the Add Email link.
  3. Enter the Email Address on the Email Entry flyout.
  4. Choose the Save button.
  5. (Optional) Select the Save & Add button to add more addresses.
  6. Choose Save on the WebTMA toolbar.
