Material Requests in the Service Request Portal (SRP) WebTMA 7

Overview

WebTMA’s Service Request Portal includes material requests so users can select items, review availability by location, filter results, and submit a request with notes and needed-by timing.

Common Cause

  • Users may see items with zero availability if the portal is set to include them.
  • Required fields must be completed before submission (fields can be configured by the organization).

Steps / How to Fix It

1. Open the Service Request Portal and select the material request page.

2. Fill in the required request fields (example: department, ship-to, notes, needed-by date).

3. Browse parts and select a stocking location (example: warehouse or service van).

4. Add items and quantities to the request cart.

5. Optional: filter by part type or manufacturer.

6. Optional: hide items with zero availability by toggling the option that controls whether available parts are included.

7. Review the cart, adjust quantities, remove unwanted items, add final comments, and submit the request.

How It Works

  • The portal presents items with details such as images and cost and shows availability by location.
  • Filtering options narrow the displayed items (for example, by part type or manufacturer).
  • A cart review step allows changes before final submission.

Example

  • Select location: Service van
  • Add item: Belts (quantity adjusted during review)
  • Remove item: An accidentally added item before submission
  • Submit: Material request after final review

Key Tips

  • Use the availability filter to reduce clutter when you only want in-stock items.
  • Confirm you are selecting the correct stocking location before submitting.

Summary

Material requests in the Service Request Portal streamline inventory requests by letting users shop by location, filter results, review a cart, and submit a request with required details.
